No country has ever taken itself out of the cycle of underdevelopment by persistently losing such a solid pool of its expertise.While many Guyanese would not have been as successful without leaving Guyana, many are also significant failures here. Contrary to the tales and movie portrayals, North America is a very difficult environment in which to survive. Many live here in conditions worse than they lived in Guyana and are embarrassed to admit it.One irony is that many Guyanese have functioned or are functioning at some of the most powerful institutions of the world; in science, technology, medicine, business, education, etc., and are utilized by other countries instead of Guyana. At the same time Guyana recruits advisers, consultants,Jerseys NFL Wholesale, etc. sometimes of even less merits.An encouraging thing though is that many Guyanese are interested in investing and participating in Guyana and even returning home.
